The last page contained a lot of ideas/work, hard to top off again.
But then again, lets work hard to make those 70s with independent, not
too bad thinking individuals return, and lead the way to make clear
that the motherf* cr*p that is in the world and of course in
'christianity' is not preferably part of my life.
Daring statements, but I mean it. Where's the devil, anyway? Seen any
demons from hell lately (except human spirits from Rome of God knows
from where)? Little details not mentioned in 'christianity'?
'Real' christians must pay attention.

Music on the GOD channel
Unfortunately for my feelings of well being (though certainly not for
my ego luckiky) I've been watching the GOD channel (world wide set of 3
or so satellite channels) and was also paying some attention to the
music going on.
As an advanced jazz musician I'm sure it isn't nice to really judge the
musicians trying to do live rock, but then again these guys and galls
seem to indeed want to 'do' rock, which I find offensive. Jeez, what a
horrible, dreadfull crap.
But then again, nobody is going to belief they invented the music
(decades ago...) or that ANY talent or real interesting playing can be
scouted in those circles. Ha ha.
And who the hell cares about f* Bradford nowadays. Anyhow, it's wrong
when God is supposedly praised, Jesus preached, or the works of the
(real) Holy Spirit given place. Invite Supertramp, get disco system
with some (real) Rolling Stones music, invite the Black Crowes to your
jazz podium, for all I care throw an Elvis party, but seriously, get
out of popular music. It looks bad, more like super-whore or somthing,
and then not even a good one.
One can play christian rock of course, I'm sure all great rockers were
some kind of serious enough christian, but one cannot try to beat me
and the whole of contemporary music together and still come across
serious or good enough for anything, seriously. Rip offs.
And mainly, the inverviews with musicians only expose that they are
composed almost exclusively from jesuit or dominican-type of
non-characters who do more destruction to normal reasonable humanity
than is good for anybody. What a scene. Contemporary christianity in
Nimrod, or the Rome, or the illus? Probably all, I don't see much good
at all.
Swaggart is a example of an excellent musician who knows his rock, too,
just talking about the music.
Apart from latent or present gay feelings, possibly a horrible life (in
the sense of abusiveness of bad kinds)
Would Kenneth Copeland be acting out his (rather obvious) gay nature in
accordance with the babylonic rites and the behind the scene 'friends'
of Rome, or would it be simply Gods judgement like in the letter to the
Romans (in the bible) :
Rom 1:27 |
And
likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in
their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is
unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error
which was meet. |
"Glory to God" ?!
I've heard that sort of shouting at least already in 1983 or so on
"Live
from Nashville" by Swaggart, which contains outstanding music. Recently
I saw a piece of his
nowadays daily internet preaching which contained a rendering of
the same song, I put the audio in not high quality here, but onl y two
pieces, so everyone can easily have an impression:
claim Jesus first of all first
piece, second piece (medium/low
quality mp3, 56kbps)
at 1:15 of the second sample piece the expression passes by.
So how are normal or lets say intellectual people to deal with the
"Crap of Chrisianity" on daily basis and in their hearts of hearts and
in the deepest of their souls and thinking? To see it like God sees it:
there is an unbridgable gap between decent life in the 70s or 20s and
the dreadfullnes of babylonic global current christianity. They are not
to be interchanged, and that's it.
Can God really put his choosen people down, is that biblical? Sure, ask
the jews. Nothing special, he put them in exile scattered them over te
earth, elected some leaders and good times, continued his salvation
plan, and still believes that "who loves his son, chastises him" or ""

Internet in Tunesia
I just saw on the (great ! including the distorted perspective
widescreen!) free CNN internet news that they have a bus driving in
Tunisia with a satellite internet connection and workplaces for kids
and others to have a look at the internet when the bus comes to town or
village.
Reminds me that nowadays it is even possible to het internet access in
a driving car using a stabelized dish antenna, with servos to keep it
directed, appearently even on bumpy roads, those servos and electronics
seem to be amazing.
I looked up one on Google, its called RaySat
which may not be actually available for purchase:

and the price is probably not too low, but not unovercomable for many
people I guess.
Internet speed would be up to 2 or 4 megabit/s I understand, which is
up to adsl levels, so pretty good, but with delay because of the
distance through space.
Rock and roll show 1
We know we won't be saved by entertaining ourselves with rock and roll
shows.
On the other hand I recall I felt uncomparably better after having been
to school parties with some good rock music and related (load!) art
forms. Got to be good for something.
To test encoding (I didn't get 300 kbps which the server could handle)
and the concept of a (internet) radio station, lets say an interest
test here is some minutes of show, quickly done with no special
equipment: media players and a AC'97 mic input and the windows
recording mix bus but from full quality CD WAV rips and directly from
CD (not with mpegs!), monitored with the powered biamped monitors (in
this case) from the previous pages.
In the end I made 3 versions, mpeg I
(320 kilobit per second) mpeg II
(160 kbps) and a lossless (containing
exactly the recoverable information from the original uncompressed WAV
file) windows media file, which is just 10 % over the servers'
bandwidth most of the time, but very worth downloading to compare
quality.
I remember very well tuning and adjusting antennas to get high quality
FM stereo radio reception to record from, but this is CD quality all
over the world! I'm not sure every PC has the decoder for this windows
media 9.1 pro coder, but it makes about half the original filesize
without any quality loss.
I had made a very small 'illegal' FM transmitter at the time, for which
I played DJ of course, when then term meant something normal still, and
wasn't confused

A well I bless my soul
What’s wrong with me?
I’m itching like a man on a fuzzy tree
My friends say I’m actin’ wild as a bug
I’m in love
I’m all shook up
Mm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!
My hands are shaky and my knees are weak
I can’t seem to stand on my own two feet
Who do you thank when you have such luck?
I’m in love
I’m all shook up
Mm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!
Please don’t ask me what’s on my mind
I’m a little mixed up, but I’m feelin’ fine
When I’m near that girl that I love best
My heart beats so it scares me to death!
She touched my hand what a chill I got
Her lips are like a vulcano that’s hot
I’m proud to say she’s my buttercup
I’m in love
I’m all shook up
Mm mm oh, oh, yeah, yeah!
My tongue get tied when I try to speak
My insides shake like a leaf on a tree
There’s only one cure for this body of mine
That’s to have the girl that I love so fine!
Playing Lt Hammer
Sometimes I think it would be better for me and the world if I had a
big gun.
I mean like a real big one, lets sat a terminator one or so, which
would work and be used, too, though of course outside of war tha is
illegal... And you have to know for sure who are the criminals, and be
able to proof that beyond any doubt. Should be no problem for most
families...

Political circuits don't always really seem to mourn deaths all too
much, either.
Anyhow, maybe I could shoot some meat here:

Have a look at my masters' thesis and my string simulator, gentlemen?
Is time for some 'professor' to steal some of my work again? The guys
got no real job or money and no professor title on his CV so why not
steal the lot of it? No scrupules gets our circles the furthest, of
course. What am I, in a Donna Tart book?
Without meaning damage to the excellent movie "Born to be wild" (I had
a motor jacket and small motor bike when I was early student, later on
I was daily in a car...)

Beeldenstorm
I learned in primary school that in the time after the middle ages when
protestantism started to rule, statues were raided and destroyed from
churches with offensive mary statues and other figures, against the old
testament rule of "Thou shalt not make thyself carved images and bow
down for them", making people feel a whole lot better that the faggish
and insulting stupid statues were reduced to the clay they came from,
and the gould and silver returned to their original owners from before
the middle ages.
One of these days I might make a 'shoot-em-up' computer program lets
say like here where I can take up a big gun, and some image with
profanities, and shoot at will.

FFFFFFFFiiiiieeeeeeewwwww .... BOOOOOOOM.
Makes you wonder wether there are some WO II bombs left, maybe a big
boy?

Father General
Peter-Hans Kolvenbach SJ
Talk on commitment to justice in Jesuit Higher Education
Santa Clara University, October 6, 2000
THE SERVICE OF
FAITH AND THE PROMOTION OF JUSTICE IN
AMERICAN JESUIT HIGHER EDUCATION
Rev. Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J.
Superior General of the Society of Jesus
Introduction
This conference
on the commitment to justice in American Jesuit higher education comes
at an important moment in the rich history of the twenty-eight colleges
and universities represented here this evening. We also join Santa
Clara University in celebrating the 150th anniversary of its
founding.
Just as significant as this moment in history, is our location. Santa
Clara Valley, named after the mission at the heart of this campus, is
known worldwide as "Silicon Valley," the home of the microchip. Surely
when Father Nobili, the founder of this University, saw the dilapidated
church and compound of the former Franciscan mission, he could never
have imagined this valley as the center of a global technological
revolution.
This juxtaposition of mission and microchip is emblematic of all the
Jesuit schools. Originally founded to serve the educational and
religious needs of poor immigrant populations, they have become highly
sophisticated institutions of learning in the midst of global wealth,
power and culture. The turn of the millennium finds them in all their
diversity: they are larger, better equipped, more complex and
professional than ever before, and also more concerned about their
Catholic, Jesuit identity.
In the history of American Jesuit higher education, there is much to be
grateful for, first to God and the Church, and surely to the many
faculty, students, administrators and benefactors who have made it what
it is today. But this conference brings you together from across the
United States with guests from Jesuit universities elsewhere, not to
congratulate one another, but for a strategic purpose. On behalf of the
complex, professional and pluralistic institutions you represent, you
are here to face a question as difficult as it is central: How can the
Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States express
faith-filled concern for justice in what they are as Christian
academies of higher learning, in what their faculty do, and in what
their students become?
Talking about motherf*....
From that source it is clear what mindset lead to all kinds of misery:

What's a Field Programmable Gate Array ?
Well, already for decades, FPGA is a digital electronicists term for a
chip which can be programmed with a certain logic circuit at startup.
So you have a digicam, it has some imageprocessing chip in it, and the
image processing circuitry (not computer program) is loaded intoa
general pupose logic element chip which has a large array of basic
logical processing units which can be given a certain function and a
certain interconnection pattern by loading the chip with data from for
instance a ROM at startup time of the machine. The advantage over a
special purpose chip is price: it is very expensive to design and
manufacture a special purpose chip. Programming an FPGA is cheap, and
the chips a re cheap too, and getting more powerfull with the years,
using the latest chip fabric and FPGA manufacture process.
I've been lucky to have acces to a $99,- (no kiddin' , check out the
Xilinx Spartan 3 Demo Board) board with a recent FPGA of intermedeate
size and fairly high speed, which comes complete with design software,
which can also be freely downloaded if you want to play with it.
The demo kit can be airmailed to you just about anywhere in the world,
though maybe there are export limitations when you live in iran or
something...

Better have some good jodies
check here too, but then again, maybe not unless you're really working
out:
I Wanna Be
I wanna be an Air Force pilot
I wanna fly an F-16
I wanna ride with the cockpit open
Just to hear the enemy scream
I wanna be a navigator
I wanna back seat to the show
I wanna be a navigator
Tell the pilots where to go
I wanna be a missileer
I wanna live in a deep dark hole
I wanna be a missileer
Nuke those enemies till they glow
this one seems fine too:
Surfer Dude
I used to be a Surfer Dude
I used to ride some gnarly tubes
Riding waves every day
Now they took my board away
Whoa Hoa bogus deal
Hey FTO like get for real
Whoa Hoa to the max
Please don't take my surfboard wax
Whoa Hoa is this for me
Maybe surf life's history
Whoa Hoa I don't know
Should I stay or should I go
Whoa Hoa mega change
This feeling now is really strange
Whoa Hoa gnarly time
Air Force life is on my mind
In two years camp will be a blur
And I '11 be an Air Force Officer
I'11 miss the ocean and the sand
But I'11 be an American Fighting Man
Whoa Hoa I'm glad I came
My life will never be the same
Honor, pride, dignity
Now they mean much more to me
Would be good tpo have a sound file (with rythm) of this one:
In fourteen hundred and ninety-two
a beggar bound for college
was roaming in the streets of Spain
and selling hot tamales
Refrain: He said the world was round-oh He said it could be found-of
The hypothetical navigating son-of-a-gun Colombo
Said Isabel to Ferdinand his plan sounds
mighty hazy said Ferdinand to Isabel I think the sucker's crazy!
Well, amazon is good for at least one CD with soundbites "Run to Cadence with the U.S.
Army Infantry", this is a good one, called Bo Diddley , the guy from 'I'm
a man', see also Muddy Waters, with similar song called Manish
Boy, that wouldn't sound right as a chant now would it, 'manish
boy'?

I'd have to carry a sign on the back 'sorry, I'm speed limited'. But
then again, I am not a truck.

I'd rather go for 'Turbo Charged' or 'beware of the afterburner'. At
least I can say I got a hundred horsepower under the hood. As long as
water stays in the (leaking) radiator...
