After a some time, a webcam is back, though it's on test, The machine which can run this is often on and online, so it should be possible to have longer webcam online times.
I'm using a cheap usb digicam in webcammode with and unregistered copy of Capturemax, which seems to do a decent job from a windows video device link.
Update time is 10 seconds, but reload time 30 sec, if there are no changes visiblw in the picture I'm offline, which is most often by far.
