Most recent   local Diary Page.
diary25 has live recordings of Tony Joe White in the Hague

Finally, a page on a machine I can access, more or less to stay, I'm not sure how stable the ip address is, and not all in life is known, but most likely this page will stay the main entrance page on a server I can often let run.
You may want to bookmark this fall-through page

© Theo Verelst, pages may be refered to and copied in any form only for non-commercial purposes, unchanged, and mentioning the author, otherwise permission is required from theover@tiscali.nl

Recently I've been given a fixed url (uniform resource locator) which is

           http://www.theover.org

use this link to bookmark this page in case the IP address changes, that happens sometimes. Sublinks work, too, like www.theover.org/Synth. It 'jumps' to the ip address where my own server is running automatically.

I'm making a new home page, check it out!

I've been showing my equipment at the MILE2005 musical instrument fair in Utrecht at 22/23 oct 2005, check this report out!
It's the biggest annual musical equipment happening in holland, I've been showing the big high quality speakers, the amp, high Q DA converter, the studio biamped powered monitors, and of course my own developed (hardware) Synthesizer!!!

I'm making a page about Rock and Roll.

I promised putting on a few small recordings and some pictures from the Delft University Cultural Centre (formerly the Muzisch Centrum), which can be found here.

I'm in the process of making a sound synthesizer, see this page. Also, I'm working on a page on analog and digital filtering, and I'm implementing a set a of powered, bi-amped speakers, for which I've made a digital test filter.

I've been and spoken at Fosdem open source conference in belgium, see this page. In 2005 again, see my mpeg videos via Theo Verelst from  here. I'll most probably have a demonstration of my OpenSource Synth at FOSDEM2006, come check it out!

I'm sharing some of my blackfin DSP EZLITE board experience here.

For purposes of joining the Audio Engineering Society I made a page on some of my Audio Achievements. Also don't forget my french efforts of last year making a addive synthesis sound program for Linux / Windows.

See here for a local webcam page (not so active):

Pictures from famous, historic french paintings (oct '03), I made the pictures with a consumer (Sony) video/picture camera recently in the respective musea, and processed the results with Gimp to correct for perspective distortion and adjust the lighting and colours. I don't claim full realistic reproduction, but hey, those paintings must have been light in that time...

I made a MOVIE PAGE which will star my own movies, serious (little) ones, which are somewhat produced at least, not mere footage.

Try out the fortune page, with a unique fun or interesting saying for each surfer, each time the page is requested. Offensive cookies have not been opted out.

If you have realplayer, you can see me do a musical demonstration (use 'copy link location' and paste in the realplayer 'open url').

Check server statistics here .

A lot of not so recent anymore pictures listed in pages per ten .

A page with assorted pictures by me  (corrected link)

Audio files of my own making

I've started local Diary pages on this server, as addition to the tripod and other ones, and livejournal. Probably easier to maintian, and available with more space for all kinds of pictures, examples, movies, and: it can be reached over a secure connection, making pretty darn sure you can read the right version when you want to.

Another Test Page with automatically generated picture list

Most likely socket where via windows media player 'open URL' one can see live video feed directly from this machine, about 160 kilobits per second.    You'l need at least some dsl connection for this, but then you get a number of frames per second domestic scene. No sound at the moment. This is true Sun Nov 30 23:58:39 2003 at least, probably I'l try having the (not so high q) cam on.

Point the windows media player, or another program capable of reading its stream formats, to the link which is http://82.168.209.239:8088 or mms://82.168.209.239:8088 so 'open Url' and feed it that. For mplayer (often on linux), the second mms: variation works.

The wavelab page without tripod banners messing up the javascripts, this version I've let work on various browsers.

My z80 based synth example sound file (recorded from audio cassette), this is the right one ! (5 megabytes)

Check out my photo.net pictures. I plan on putting up lots of small and high Q picts here.

sketch type of audio in dutch, sort of like a piece of the 'dikvoormekaar show' though different.
Every day I have the blues a blues piece by your webhost, moi, its done in a few takes without elaborate production or redos, but with nicer effects and sound than I had, and a new microphone pre-amp of my own making, that is not the cheap soundcard one.
A hardcore trash beatish piece with dutch semi-rap.
All are encoded with 160kbps (the upload link speed) in mpeg 3, and should be of fair quality (I didn't check yet, it's late at night now).

Use 'save link target' (right click mouse on the link) to save these, and play them in an mpeg compatible sound player. They're not slick but have some more production means in them.

hammerof references (see bottom) Hammeroff is a write about nanobiology whose book I caught from Delft University main library years ago when I was working there and regularly read up on my literature there, and looked for books on 'computing' and got 'ultimate computing'. Interesting stuff, as well as the homing of pigeons, and how they do that.
